Valen does not collect your data.

Valen stores the following on your device only:

• Doses you log, and the schedule and protocols you create
• Vial and inventory records
• Weight, measurements and progress photographs
• Profile details you enter during onboarding
• Conversations with the in-app assistant
• Your settings and preferences

This information is written to your device's local storage. It is not transmitted anywhere, because the app makes no network requests.

• No data collection. Nothing you enter is sent to us or to anyone else.
• No account. You can use every feature without signing up or providing an email address.
• No analytics or tracking. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter and no advertising identifier.
• No third-party sharing. There is no third party to share with.
• No selling of data. We never see your data, so we cannot sell it.

If you add progress or vial photographs, Valen asks permission to use your camera or photo library. Images you select are stored on your device with the rest of your record and are never uploaded. You can decline these permissions and use the rest of the app normally.

If you enable the app lock, Valen uses Face ID to unlock the app. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS. Valen never receives your biometric data.

The assistant runs locally on your device. Your questions and its answers are not sent to any server, and conversations are stored on the device alongside your other records.

• Export. Take everything as a JSON file at any time from Settings.
• Delete. Erase all of it in one tap from Settings.
• Uninstall. Removing the app removes its local data with it.

Because your data never reaches us, requests to access, correct or delete data held by us are unnecessary — we hold none. Under GDPR and CCPA this means we act as neither a controller nor a processor of your personal information.

Valen is not directed at children and is rated for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

If a future version of the app changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
